Patent and SEC Attorneys Talk Shop on ICOs and Blockchain Companies.

This year alone, more than $1.5 billion has been raised globally by blockchain-driven companies and ICO events – despite still evolving and murky legal waters, and limited guidance from the SEC on the full path forward. Many companies are looking to stay on the most proper path, and are looking for appropriate means to stay on the right side of U.S. and global securities law.

On Friday, December 8, the Blockmason legal team will present at an event, where they will discuss the best practices in regards to SEC compliance for blockchain and ICO companies.

The panel will address how founders can start new entities in this space with full respect for the law and compliance with a moving and evolving set of principles. In addition, the lead patent attorney for Blockmason will discuss the opportunities for intellectual property protection in such a new and dynamic space.

The event will be hosted at lunch time in the MassBio office, 300 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA. If you are in the Boston area and would like to attend, please RSVP here. You don’t have to be an MIT student to attend the event.
